Huge market ：only two marketed drugs for IPF. Pirfenidone(PFD) and Nintedanib. PFD sold 1.19 billion in 2019 even though there is severe AE and limited efficacy.

Summary of Phase I/II clinical trial

Good Efficacy: In a head-to-headclinical trial between Asset and Pirfenidone, blind data analysis of over 100 completed patient studies showed that after 24 weeks of medication, the Asset group (including the placebo group) was superior to the Pirfenidone group in delaying the decline of FVC and %FVC. Throughout the experiment, the lung function indicators of the Asset group showed a reversible trend, while the lung function indicators of the Pirfenidone group exhibited a progressive decline.
Good Compliance: The positive drug Pirfenidone requires administration three times a day, with 2-3 tablets each time, totaling 1.2-1.8 grams.During the treatment process, the dosage needs to be adjusted to the maximum dose that the patient can tolerate. In contrast, Asset requires only one dose per day, with an estimated effective dose of 200 mg, demonstrating far better compliance than existing drugs.
Good Safety: Among the more than 100 patients currently enrolled, the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions in the Asset group is similarto that in the Pirfenidone group, with only one case of rash and one case of photosensitivity reaction reported. Photosensitivity is a major adverse reaction of the positive drug Pirfenidone.
